Born and raised in Greenville, SC, Jamie Prince founded Flourish in 2009 after spending nearly fifteen years in marketing and corporate communications, serving in management positions at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and subsequently for The Cliffs. She has a knack for targeted idea generation and “seeing what’s missing” in an organization’s current marketing and communications plan. Having had the good fortune of working under three different visionaries in their fields, Jamie leads by example and provides her clients with a warm honesty, keen sense of understanding, and passion for success.
Jamie received a 2015 Leader Award by Business Black Box magazine for “Best Boss” and was named among Greenville Business Magazine’s “Best and Brightest: 35 and Under” in 2012 and has served as President of the Board of Directors for Carolina Ballet Theatre. She currently serves on Greenville Women Giving’s 2016-2017 Board of Directors, the Rose Ball Committee, Charity Ball Board of Greenville and Buncombe Street United Methodist Church’s Stewardship Committee. Jamie is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the AAF-Greenville Chapter, and she is a former officer and longtime member of the South Carolina Public Relations Society of America. Additionally, Jamie is a graduate of Furman’s CONNECTIONS: Women Leaders of the Upstate program, as well as Leadership Greenville Class 33.
Under her leadership, Flourish has grown to a team of 11 individuals, and has received top honors for work in integrated communications in South Carolina. Flourish’s community service has been recognized in its nomination for the 2013 TD Business and the Arts Partnership Awards, and by its contribution of pro bono work for organizations that include Greenville Women Giving, Carolina Ballet Theatre, and The Rose Ball, among others.
Jamie received her undergraduate degree from The Honors College at the University of South Carolina and attended New York Law School on full scholarship. She was a Phi Beta Kappa, and is an active alumna of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She is married to the long-time love of her life, David Prince, and is the mother to three children, Reese (9), Jack and Emmy (5). She and her family are members of Buncombe Street United Methodist Church.
David Prince joined Flourish as its Director of Operations in January 2013. David manages the financial, legal, logistical areas needs within Flourish and Flourish’s sister company, Flourish Events. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, David received his Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting, which he has applied at an accounting firm, one of the nation’s largest banks, and – most recently before joining Flourish – as a partner for more than ten years in The Reading Source, a fourth generation, family-owned business that sold books to K-12 schools across the Southeast.
Katie Jordan serves as the Managing Director of Flourish Events, bringing 15 years of multifaceted event planning experience. During her previous role as a Sales & Marketing Event Director for an affluent residential development, Katie gained valuable insight from the event marketing industry’s top performers and honed her event planning skills. She is proficient in concepting, planning and executing events – ranging from elegant large-scale launch galas and concerts to casual, intimate dinner parties and power lunches.
An extremely detail-oriented planner, Katie’s strengths include event logistics, creation, design and budgeting. Her skillset coupled with strong vendor relationships, both local and regionally, ensure her goal of running successful, seamless events is always met. Events produced under her direction have won numerous awards including the 2014 and 2015 SCPRSA Mercury Award of Excellence, Gold and Platinum Marcom Awards and an AFA Silver Addy.
Katie resides in Spartanburg, SC, with her husband Marshall, daughters – Mary Marshall and Ellen – and two cats. She enjoys using her planning expertise as an active PTO member at her daughter’s school, for community non-profits and her church, the Episcopal Church of the Advent.
Jenny Mahon, an industry veteran of 12 years, is the primary designer behind Flourish’s luxury and affluent lifestyle clients. Graduating from Clemson University with a B.S. in Graphic Communications and minor in business, Jenny’s first job was with The Cliffs. Since then, she has worked with various private country clubs, resorts and hotels, including La Jolla Country Club, South Seas Island Resort, Conrad Chicago, Boca Raton Resort and Club and many more. In 2008, Jenny started her own freelance business, which allowed her to relocate from the Upstate to Kentucky then onto Boston. Jenny currently calls Boston home, where she lives with her husband of ten years, Brian, and three kids, Luke, Kate and Lydia. In her free time, Jenny loves gardening and being outdoors, sports – particularly cheering on the Clemson Tigers – and coffee ice cream. She is a member of Christ Community Church in Newton, Massachusetts and a dedicated volunteer for Remember – a nonprofit organization assisting those who have been orphaned or widowed because of their faith in Christ.
Christine Morgan has more than 15 years of experience in the fields of communication, marketing and design and is responsible for creating custom graphic content for Flourish’s clientele. Christine obtained her degree in Communication Studies from Furman University and was a recipient of Furman’s Endel Medal for Excellence in Communication Studies. Prior to joining Flourish, Christine served as the Communications Director for the Girl Scouts of South Carolina Mountains to Midlands (Formerly Girl Scouts of the Old 96 Council), a graphic designer for a commercial print company, and the Marketing Director for Coldwell Banker Caine – where she helped launch a division marketing department. Her career took a turn in 2012 when she became a freelancer to spend more time with her son and focus on what she loves most – helping small businesses and non-profits develop their branding and visual identities. A Greenville resident since college, Christine enjoys spending time with her husband Darion, 5-year-old Ezra and “high-strung” cocker spaniel.
Kristan is an accomplished digital marketing strategist with more than 15 years of corporate marketing experience. Kristan served in management positions at Michelin North America and subsequently The Cliffs Communities where she managed the strategic online marketing planning and implementation for top global brands. She has a proven track record of developing innovative yet practical digital marketing solutions that deliver impressive business results.
Kristan offers a depth of understanding in how digital marketing helps companies build awareness of their brands and move consumers to purchase, and has a keen grasp of successful marketing strategies that fit into the totality of a brand’s marketing portfolio.
Kristan assists FLOURISH clients with strategic digital planning and execution, including search engine optimization, email marketing, digital advertising, website creation and management, and social media.
Serving as an Account Manager for one of Flourish’s largest clients, Kristen McLean brings extensive real estate marketing knowledge to the team. After graduating from University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business, Kristen spent more than 10 years working with well-known local and national real estate brands, and more than 15 years in the marketing industry. Her keen understanding of the industry coupled with her intuitive ability to cultivate client projects makes Kristen an invaluable asset to clients. Kristen is skilled at managing project traffic while keeping overall strategy in mind.
As Administrative/Events Assistant, Briana Carr works with both divisions of the company, seamlessly transitioning from the marketing and communication efforts of Flourish to an event support role with Flourish Events. She regularly draws on her Integrated Marketing Communications degree from Winthrop University and her diverse professional experiences to support the needs of staff and clients alike. Prior to joining Flourish, she worked with non-profit organizations throughout the Carolinas, including the YMCA, Discovery Place Children’s Museum in Charlotte, NC and Junior Achievement of Coastal South Carolina.
A graduate of Furman University, Peyton has worked in several prominent advertising agencies over the past 18 years, as well as on a client-side brand marketing team. Her category experience includes regional CPG brands, luxury real estate, financial services, tourism and regional grocery and restaurant chains. And her project work ranges from collateral development, direct mail and event management to broadcast production, consumer research and interactive projects from simple banner ads to complex website builds. Her peers and clients say that Peyton is a clear communicator, dependable collaborator and efficient task juggler.
Peyton has been actively involved in the Greenville chapter of the American Advertising Federation for many years, serving as its youngest president and being the youngest recipient of its most prestigious Silver Medal Award in 2011. She has also held leadership positions at both the regional and national levels of AAF.
Peyton moonlights as a dance mom to her daughter, is married to a caterer/chef and enjoys reading and traveling.
As Manager of Sponsor Relations, Ann Ellison is tasked with bolstering corporate and special events through the lens of sponsorship programs and fundraising campaigns. Ann pulls from both her degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management from the University of Houston, as well as more than 25 years of sales and management experience to bring her expertise to our client’s fundraising, sponsorship and corporate events efforts. Ann has worked for Hyatt Hotels and Resort, Marriott Hotels and the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau, and she most recently worked in the Disney Destinations for the past six years. Ann’s hobbies include golf and tennis, and she and her husband, John, have a younger son, Keys.
