Jamie Prince founded flourish in Greenville, South Carolina, in 2009 and has spent nearly two decades in marketing and communications. She has a knack for targeted idea generation and “seeing what’s missing” in an organization’s current promotional strategy. Under her leadership, flourish has grown to a team of 15, earning more than 50 awards at the international, national, and state levels for its client work.
In 2017, Jamie was awarded the Thomas Duke Public Relations Practitioner of the Year Award by the South Carolina Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. She was also honored with a 2012 Leader Award by Business Black Box magazine and was named among Greenville’s “Best and Brightest: 35 and Under” by Greenville Business Magazine. Jamie is a graduate of both Leadership Greenville and Furman University’s CONNECTIONS: Women Leaders of the Upstate programs. She is an active member in the Public Relations Counselors Group, an exclusive nationwide network of 50 highly-regarded, award-winning senior-level public relations and communications consultants working in every sector of every major U.S. market.
Before flourish, Jamie served as the Director of Corporate Communications for The Cliffs, preceded by several years at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia as Special Projects Manager and Executive Assistant.
In the community, Jamie and flourish have donated more than $150,000 in time and service to various charitable and civic organizations. Personally, she has served on the boards of directors for Greenville Women Giving, the Charity Ball Board of Greenville, Carolina Ballet Theatre, the South Carolina Public Relations Society and the FRIENDS of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Jamie is also an active member of Buncombe Street United Methodist Church.
Jamie received her undergraduate degree from the South Carolina Honors College at the University of South Carolina. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society and is an alumna of Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
She is married to the long-time love of her life, David Prince, and is the mother to their three children, Reese, Jack, and Emmy.
Outside flourish, Jamie loves to read, practice her faith, and be a devoted wife and mom.
David Prince joined Flourish as its Director of Operations in January 2013. David manages the financial, legal, logistical areas needs within Flourish and Flourish’s sister company, Flourish Events. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, David received his Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting, which he has applied at an accounting firm, one of the nation’s largest banks, and – most recently before joining Flourish – as a partner for more than ten years in The Reading Source, a fourth generation, family-owned business that sold books to K-12 schools across the Southeast.
Kristan is an accomplished digital marketing strategist with more than 15 years of corporate marketing experience. Kristan served in management positions at Michelin North America and subsequently The Cliffs Communities where she managed the strategic online marketing planning and implementation for top global brands. She has a proven track record of developing innovative yet practical digital marketing solutions that deliver impressive business results.
Kristan offers a depth of understanding in how digital marketing helps companies build awareness of their brands and move consumers to purchase, and has a keen grasp of successful marketing strategies that fit into the totality of a brand’s marketing portfolio.
Kristan assists FLOURISH clients with strategic digital planning and execution, including search engine optimization, email marketing, digital advertising, website creation and management, and social media.
A graduate of Furman University, Peyton has worked in several prominent advertising agencies over the past 18 years, as well as on a client-side brand marketing team. Her category experience includes regional CPG brands, luxury real estate, financial services, tourism and regional grocery and restaurant chains. And her project work ranges from collateral development, direct mail and event management to broadcast production, consumer research and interactive projects from simple banner ads to complex website builds. Her peers and clients say that Peyton is a clear communicator, dependable collaborator and efficient task juggler.
Peyton has been actively involved in the Greenville chapter of the American Advertising Federation for many years, serving as its youngest president and being the youngest recipient of its most prestigious Silver Medal Award in 2011. She has also held leadership positions at both the regional and national levels of AAF.
Peyton moonlights as a dance mom to her daughter, is married to a caterer/chef and enjoys reading and traveling.
Emily Scurry joins the Flourish team with more than 15 years of experience in corporate brand marketing and business development. A native of Florence, SC, Emily graduated from Clemson University’s College of Communication Studies and began her career planning and executing regional and national tourism marketing initiatives during her tenure at the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau. Emily expanded her corporate brand marketing experience when she joined Autotrader’s Consumer Marketing division as part of the Brand Experience/Sponsorships team.
Emily then returned “home” to South Carolina as the Marketing Manager for the Carolinas Region of Gannett, serving as a community liaison for The Greenville News, Anderson Independent Mail, and Asheville Citizen Times where she managed sponsorships, B2C/B2B marketing, and signature events.
Emily is a graduate of Leadership Greenville Class 44 and has served on the Board of Directors of the Holiday Sunshine Fund in Greenville. She is a big Clemson fan and enjoys playing tennis. Emily and her husband, Kevin, have three sons and a rescued dog named Davey!
For nearly 20 years, Jenn has been designing and developing events to remember. Having worked with and helping build iconic brands that include Chevrolet, Verizon, and Denny’s among others, Jenn’s passion is planning and executing large-scale events that create engaging customer experiences and generate client successes.
Jenn’s professional capabilities include onsite activations, tradeshow design and logistics, mobile and guerrilla marketing, sponsorship fulfillment, product launches, sweepstakes and promotions and environmental design.
A native of Greenville, South Carolina, Jenn received her undergraduate degree from Auburn University and her MBA from the University of Georgia.
When not working, you can find her on a field or a court with her husband and two children, all of whom are very active in sports. She is very involved with Northwood Little League and attends Buncombe Street United Methodist Church.
Christine Morgan has more than 15 years of experience in the fields of communication, marketing and design and is responsible for creating custom graphic content for Flourish’s clientele. Christine obtained her degree in Communication Studies from Furman University and was a recipient of Furman’s Endel Medal for Excellence in Communication Studies. Prior to joining Flourish, Christine served as the Communications Director for the Girl Scouts of South Carolina Mountains to Midlands (Formerly Girl Scouts of the Old 96 Council), a graphic designer for a commercial print company, and the Marketing Director for Coldwell Banker Caine – where she helped launch a division marketing department. Her career took a turn in 2012 when she became a freelancer to spend more time with her son and focus on what she loves most – helping small businesses and non-profits develop their branding and visual identities. A Greenville resident since college, Christine enjoys spending time with her husband Darion, 5-year-old Ezra and “high-strung” cocker spaniel.
Jenny Mahon, an industry veteran of 12 years, is the primary designer behind Flourish’s luxury and affluent lifestyle clients. Graduating from Clemson University with a B.S. in Graphic Communications and minor in business, Jenny’s first job was with The Cliffs. Since then, she has worked with various private country clubs, resorts and hotels, including La Jolla Country Club, South Seas Island Resort, Conrad Chicago, Boca Raton Resort and Club and many more. In 2008, Jenny started her own freelance business, which allowed her to relocate from the Upstate to Kentucky then onto Boston. Jenny currently calls Boston home, where she lives with her husband of ten years, Brian, and three kids, Luke, Kate and Lydia. In her free time, Jenny loves gardening and being outdoors, sports – particularly cheering on the Clemson Tigers – and coffee ice cream. She is a member of Christ Community Church in Newton, Massachusetts and a dedicated volunteer for Remember – a nonprofit organization assisting those who have been orphaned or widowed because of their faith in Christ.
Taegen Jordan, Event Specialist and Office Coordinator, is lead support for flourish’s event production team. She works with our event producers to create and implement our many client and internal events. Taegen has also newly transitioned into flourish’s Office Coordinator, staying on top of managing daily in house needs as well as taking on the responsibility of overseeing our internship program. She recently celebrated her first full year at flourish after completing a three-month internship with flourish events. She is from Greenville, S.C., and holds a degree in Communications/Public Relations from Anderson University, SC.
Being a local of Greenville, Taegen takes advantage of all that the Upstate has to offer in her free time, including hiking, enjoying downtown with friends or family and going to productions at local theaters!
Allison serves as Flourish’s Development Specialist with eight years of experience in non-profit administration and fundraising. Her previous work experience includes the YMCA of Greenville, Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, Pittsburgh Opera, and various freelance grant writing organizations. A native of Summerville, South Carolina, she graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor’s degree in Arts Management and a minor in Music, which have naturally led her into a career in fundraising.
With more than 20 years of involvement in Greenville’s business community, Kelly Baird is an experienced and dedicated leader. As past owner of 6+ distinctly different businesses, Kelly embraces an entrepreneurial spirit and work ethic in everything she does. Most recently as the Partner/Co-Owner of Check the Box Project Management, she led the marketing, planning, events and strategy for amazing organizations while simultaneously handling business development and the day-to-day operations of a newly formed business. Kelly is an ethical leader who more often chooses the harder “right” over the easier “wrong”, and she is someone who cares enough to always do her very best, at her highest level, in all matters. Her internal satisfaction as well as her desire to provide premier customer services are based around these foundational beliefs. She has played a role as a community volunteer, board member or executive director for many of the area’s non-profit arts and community organizations, as well as in similar roles with local learning institutions.
Alli earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations with a minor in Graphic Design from Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida. While in school, she served her student body as an officer in her university’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter and competed on her university’s mock trial debate team.
After graduation, tied to her love of horses, Alli worked in the equestrian industry covering top horse shows and was a part of the media and marketing team for the Tryon International Equestrian Center’s World Equestrian Games – the “Olympics” of equestrian sport.
Outside the office, Allison is always ready for a trip to the beach, kayaking on the lake, finding new music of any genre and spending time with her husband of six months.
