Yasha Patel has been honored among Greenville’s Best and Brightest 35 and Under by Greenville Business Magazine. Patel owns and operates the new event venue, The Rutherford, that opened last month in Greenville’s North Main Street neighborhood and renovated the property in an effort to bring economic growth and urban revitalization to the area.
“I feel honored and humbled to be recognized among fellow young professionals who are working diligently to make a positive mark on the Upstate community,” Patel said. “My goal with The Rutherford is to do something special and impactful in this area of Greenville that will lead to further urban redevelopment and renewal in our city.”
Greenville Business Magazine’s Best & Brightest 35 and Under award program is now in its 24th year and was created to recognize the city’s young leaders for their professional and community contributions and achievements. Honorees are selected based on professional achievements, community service and educational backgrounds.
Patel has always thrived on a fast-paced environment, strong work ethic and commitment to exemplary client service. After obtaining her undergraduate degree from Georgia State University and her law degree at Florida A&M, she practiced law in South Carolina before serving for three years as a public defender. In 2016, Yasha’s entrepreneurial spirit inspired her to renovate a 1950s-era building, creating a new venue space in a Greenville area that is historically under-served.
When she’s not making Greenville a better place, Patel is a loving wife to Anand Patel and mother to their young son, Brahm.
