The Cancer Survivors Park had its Grand Opening Garden Party Gala on Saturday, June 2. The Garden Party was a lovely event intended to introduce many members to the nine-million-dollar park honoring and celebrating cancer survivors.
“We are thrilled to unveil the park with such an enchanting event,” said Tom Bates, Board President of the Cancer Survivors Park Alliance. “We are delighted to host this special celebration which will include many of the countless donors, sponsors and survivors who have made this grand opening possible. In anticipation of the party, we are receiving an enthusiastic response by a large number of our supporters. As a cornerstone of our grand opening weekend, we look forward to sharing in an unforgettable evening.”
The evening was filled with delicious food displayed throughout the park, a butterfly and floral decorated photo station, live painting by the talented Meredith Piper, woodwork by Warren Carpenter, music by Trey Francis and so much more. The celebration was intended for people to commemorate the park by wandering through and viewing all of its unique aspects and special hope and healing spaces. This park was created to become a unique resource for those affected by cancer and the Garden Party Gala did a wonderful job of introducing it into the community.
Rain or shine, this evening could not have been more beautiful. Many Greenville vendors, managed by our Flourish team, came together to create a magical display created to help navigate donors, sponsors and survivors through the park. Working with these vendors, Flourish executed a garden masterpiece, preparing for a 350+ person event, spread across a large portion of the 6.8-acre park site.
Flourish Events planned and executed this three-hour event by conducting meetings with CSPA, coordinating vendors, managing set-up, directing volunteers and organizing day of execution for the Garden Party. According to many guests and donors, the CSPA Grand Opening Garden Party was a huge success and the Flourish team was happy to accommodate through careful planning and implementation.
