About Greenville Women Giving
Founded in 2006 as a special initiative of the Community Foundation of Greenville, GWG is a nonprofit organization whose purposes are both educational and philanthropic. Greenville Women Giving sponsors year-round educational opportunities for its members and guests, designed to inform about specific Greenville community needs.
Its members contribute annually to a collective pool that is distributed to local nonprofits, following a membership-led grants review process and vote. Accomplishing together what most cannot do individually, the group focuses on funding high-impact ($50,000-$100,000) initiatives in the areas of arts and culture, education, environment, health, and human services within Greenville County.
Greenville Women Giving is also supported by its annual partners Beam & Hinge, Flourish, Greenville Health System, and TOWN. The annual meeting was sponsored by Brand-in-Motion and Greenville Journal. Greenville Women Giving also receives generous gifts from individual donors.
Membership in Greenville Women Giving is open to all women who commit to the annual contribution for three years. For information about membership, upcoming events and grants please visit www.greenvillewomengiving.org and follow GWG on Facebook and Instagram.
